adventuresarefun

i had a really truly wonderfully awesome weekend this weekend.
it was one of those weekends that really did seem to go on forever.
and it involved many a wonderful adventures.

i spent a lot of time doing things that i really love doing (even though it is sometimes hard to find people with the same interests). Me and my little puppy went on a hike on Saturday wayyyy back in the boonies. I was a little nervous, i'd always been a little weary of hiking on my own (and my puppy is certainly not a guard dog), but it was just busy enough that i felt comfortable. I have started doing something challenging outside every weekend now, and it feels fantastic. And Rolo is an excellent motivator during those times that i'm contemplating turning around and heading back. I think if i would have been by myself, i wouldn't have made it to the top. It's a good thing i'm such a sucker for that little dog.

The view at the end is completely worth it, as well. The colour of the water is like something you've never seen before. It's hard to even believe that something this awesome exists within 2 hours of where i live.

Of course, i created on the weekend as well. I played with paints a bit, and experimented. I will post the picture only if i won't be judged by it. In my defense, i was channeling my inner child. The best part about it though, was that i had so much fun. I can't remember the last time i just went with the flow without worrying about structure or how the page would turn out at the end. I had paint all up my arms and everything. It was great.

I'm placing an order at the paper passion today and i am seriously so excited to recieve it. They have things there that i've only ever seen in magazines, and i love love love the fact that they are canadian (which equals canadian dollar prices and low shipping fees).

On a sweet ending note - we dressed our dog up in build a bear clothes:

i know, i know, he looks like a stuffed animal, right?
love shan
