Another Weekend Updatage!

sooo... it's already almost next weekend, and i am trying to post about last weekend! I am definitely falling behind the 8 ball on this one! It has been a tremendously busy weekend AND week. Which you wouldn't think would be the case now that Jess is on evening shifts (3pm - 11pm). Too much of this shift drives me crazy (because we never see each other) but sometimes, the little break is awesome because i get to do all those things that seem to pile up.

Of course, my plan was to create create create! but that never really happened. Anyways, i will spill my updates out in point form-form to make the read that much easier (why is it that today seems somewhat like a Monday?).

- My momma's birthday was on the weekend. Me and Jess surprised our family and created a scavenger hunt for them to complete. Of course, i had to make it all crafty and such, so this is what the little packages looked like:

They had 13 clues in them, and both teams had to go through all the clues (in different order), figure out the riddle to find the location.. then go to that location.. and answer the question! All of the questions were multiple choice, with the letters before each answer (I.e. a) b) c) d) ) spelling out the final location (jumbled up, of course). We started off at my parents house, and even had a race beginning:

(Kayla and Trevor won the race beginning... leaving dad in the dust trying to open his first clue!).
It was a tight race... with the teams having to return to a couple locations before getting all the answers correct. Kayla and Trevor unscrambled the final location quicker, and came a'runnin to the final location (the mall starbucks... where me and Jess were enjoying some quiet coffee time). Luckily for the birthday girl, there was a pretty rad boobie prize (a staple in our family). All in all, the scavenger hunt took about an hour and a half i think, and everyone said they had a wonderful time!

- This week we started our Mr. Roly Pants in puppy school, and he definitely enjoys it! I think it is mostly because he finally has other young puppies to run around and play with. We have been working on "watch" and "off" since we started the course on Tuesday, and he's doing pretty awesome. We have to practice with him though, because at the end of the class, he has to take a test! And if he doesn't pass... he has to repeat puppy school. How seriously awesome is that? I had a little chuckle over it.

- Work is crazy busy as usual, Kayla is gearing up to go on vacation - i am going to miss her while she is gone. it will be a quiet quiet office that's for sure. I wish i could be going back for the wedding as well... but i suppose that is just the way the cookie crumbles. Next year though! I am jumping for happiness that we will both get to go back for a wedding next year, and i will get to share all the lovelies of Nova Scotia with Jess and hopefully my puppalup.

- I watched the Twilight movie this week. and oooo emmm geeeee it was SO much better than i anticipated. I have not read any of the books in the series, and actually thought they would be kind of dumb. So this is the story of how i changed my mind. *ahem* i wanted to relax at some point on Monday evening, so i decided to rent a movie, however, funds a little low at the moment and i'm always appalled at how much it costs to rent a freakin movie for one freakin night. So i proceeded to safeway where they now have this totally cool machine where you can rent a move for like. $1.76 so with taxes it equals $2.00. uh yeah. $2.00 to rent a movie. SOLD! Of course, the downfall is, they only have 1 or 2 copies of the brand new movies (aka just released) so my first picks were all out. I then proceeded to browse through their catalog, and noticed Twilight. Since it was only me and my doggy home that evening, i thought, why not? if it stinks, at least i wouldn't have wasted both mine AND jess's time. So the rental occured and i went home and watched it. And that really is the end of that story. I now want to go to the library and take out the whole series and read them all in like a week. Is that possible? I don't even know how many there are... i am a horrible fan.

Anyways, i should probably end there. That is enough gibber gabberish for now! I hope everyone has a happy dappy thursday. I am off to clean and visit parentals this evening!

one love <3>
