Lately I’ve been:

- making dinners. actual real, wholesome, 3 course good-for-you dinners. my mother would be so proud. although, telling her this achievement would mean admitting i never did this before. and that would be bad.

- working, of course. lately though, it seems to be taking up more time than usual. even though i am there the same amount of time as any other week. does anyone else feel this way? i especially feel this way when i have other things on my mind that i would rather be doing. like learning or creating or scrapbooking.

- researching new trails and hikes that neither me or jess have completed before. we’ve (or mostly me i should say) have been a huge health and fitness kick lately. we are getting an excellent mix of nature and the gym. and get this --> i have been lifting weights! the big scary man weights. and i am so very very proud of myself.

- sleeping in the living room. we’ve actually moved the bed into the living room to attempt to ward off the heat that surrounds us in the bedroom. we do have air conditioning, but it doesn’t reach the bedroom. hence the bed in the living room. now all i have to do is convince jess to let me convert the bedroom into an office for the time being (my office is shared with the living room, as we live in a 1 bedroom apartment).

- looking for a truck. yay!! i have decided to trade in my Mazda 6 for a 4x4 vehicle of some sort. i know i want either a 4 door cab truck, or a Toyota 4 runner/pathfinder sort. so i am on the hunt for an older, but still in good shape, vehicle that i can take down dirt roads with much glee. craigslist and buyandsell here i come!

- not scrapbooking at all! how awful is that?? i’ve been too busy enjoying the wonderful weather we are having…. but i don’t feel guilty at all. before you know it, summer will be gone, and we will be left with the dreary fall and winter weather. i am always so very determined to make the most out of every summer, so it is ok if i don’t create something everyday. i am 100% ok with that.
