Last night Jess took me out for dinner at our favorite restuarant Chili's (not the chain, we've got an amazing Chili's in our town that makes uber good Thai food) where we talked about life and everything that's been going through our minds lately. It was really really great.
We then proceeded to the local 7-11 to pick up our tickets to the PNE (!!!). Which excited me because i've been counting down the days on post-it notes in my office at work. I have never been (i hear you groaning) so i am extremely excited to be going this year. We bought the full shebang. Rides and All! Anyways then i discovered that they have a monopoloy scratch ticket. Which i absolutely had to purchase a) because if you know me, you know that i am kind of addicted to monopoly and b) because i was feeling lucky. (my lucky feeling failed me, as i did not win anything, but had a grand ol' time scratching all 10 games).
THEN! We proceeded to the only video store in chilliwack (at least it seems!) that had Good Will Hunting. At the family BBQ we were at last weekend, my cousin Chris told me about this movie (which i had already seen years ago), and that Matt Damon actually wrote the movie. It was his claim to fame. He wrote it, and presented it, but said that he wanted to act in it. And i suppose the rest is history. Well, after hearing this, Jess was intent on seeing this movie so we went to at least 3 different video stores looking for this movie. Anyways, we found it, and rented it, and watched it last night. If you have not seen this move - go see it! I will give you point form reasons why this would be a good idea for you
- it is really good
- it is really inspiring
- it leaves you with that feel good feeling when the movie is over
- you get to see what Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Casey Affleck and Minnie Driver look like when their really young (which, is really the best part)
Anyways so then, after the movie I started thinking about crafty things (i recently took the Martha Stewart Encyclopedia of Crafts out from the library...oooo mmmm geeeee) and started to think about maybe starting to buy some things for my household from etsy. I haven't been brave enough to take that step yet, because i am really afriad that once i start, i won't be able to stop! Anyways, I really wanted to share some of this artist's stuff because i think it is really neat, and i think you might too. I have even prepared a cute little montage:
iiii know, right? Uber cute and really affordable. None of this stuff is over $40.00 (US of course, but i suppose that is the price we pay for living in Canada).Anyways, that is my share for today. You can bet i will be sharing more as it falls in my path!
