i am simply feeling unoriginal, and this post required a title.
i will also apologize for the lack of write over the past few day. i'll be honest - i am going through some emotional turmoil BUT that is neither here nor there. it's yesterday's news (and the day before that, and the day before that) and i am trying feverishly to keep it out of my today, and the rest of my tomorrows (at least for the month of November, anyways!). As usually happens when things get hectic however, i hardly feel like writing at all. Whether it be for my bliggaty blog, or in my own personal journal. I would rather just shut the feelings out until i am ready to experience them, and get them out of my system. That being said, i think i've worked them out of my system (hooray for me!).
I will now give you an update on my wonderful weekend that we westerners call the debauchery of halloween.
it was a hoot. i allowed myself to be a few years younger (everyone should really do this once in a while), and ate way to much rum infused jello. Prior to the party (which WASN'T at my house this time!), i spent hours in the kitchen making halloween themed cupcakes, pumpkin pie, jello, and goodie bags. it was awesome. except it took so long to get the icing to the perfect shade or orange.... and then with all the red lights at Kayla's.... you couldn't even tell they were orange! That, and i was too busy doing everything else that i didn't even take a picture of my handmade creations. I did, however, manage to get a few pictures of our costumes while at the party:
Someone told me that doing the peace sign over my eyes was eighties, so in many of the pictures, this is what i am doing. however. now that i think about it, i am pretty sure it's from the 70s.
A ghost buster and a unifeed train unloader....
embarrassed 80s diva? and a costumeless Wim
Trevor's sexy face... is really kind of scary...On another note, my dog has recently discovered that he likes to chew yarn, so i now have to doggy-proof my knitting storage area. At the moment. he is currently tangled in a web of cream and red yarns and is trying to chew his way out. Although, all i can really do is laugh at him because he is just too darn cute. Jess is working evenings this week and next, so Rolo and I have been enjoying some quality bonding time. Except now that his tail and ears are pink (remnants of his red and black Iron Man costume for Halloween) i've been a little embarrassed to take him to the doggy park. It was kool-air die, don't worry, there was no animal cruelty taking place! He did, however, try to eat his tail for the first hour after we died him. Apparently, it tasting like cherries?
Anyways, that is all i have for now. Thanks for tuning in.
Stay classy San Diego, i mean, chilliwack.
